Levanto
is one of the most beautiful borghi of the Ligurian
Riviera di Levante, an oasis of amenity a stone’s throw
from the Cinque Terre, the Tigullio and Portofino – not
to forget the two ancient salt routes heading north to
Piacenza and Pontremoli.
Levanto is a land of seafarers and farmers to be
discovered at a slow pace, exploring velvety beaches,
medieval carruggi, fishermen boats and magnificent
churches (the rose window of the parrocchiale di Sant’Andrea
alone is worth while the journey), in the company of
surfers and gourmet travellers. To the east, the Punta
Mesco promontory stretches towards the open sea, its sea
beds attracting hosts of Italian and foreign scuba
divers.
The territory: Levanto
The ancient natural port of Levanto is sheltered by green smooth hills, shaped in terraces and covered by vineyards and olive groves – the choice of trekkers and mountain bikers. Every season is the right season for a stay in Levanto, the reign of leisure, relaxation, culture and buona cucina. All the senses participate to a wonderful journey through past and present.
A beautiful historical centre, a pleasant seashore lined with neat stabilimenti balneari, a landscape of green, and a remarkable accommodation system represent Levanto’s four of a kind.

The last years have seen the blossoming of water sports such as surfing and diving, too. Enthusiast divers find their joy in the seabed of Punta Mesco, a magic promontory on the border with Monterosso that has been celebrated by the verses of poet Eugenio Montale, the 20th century bard of this corner of Mediterraneity.
